Free Payment Processing
Google use to charge $.20 per transaction and a 2% processing free if you were a merchant that uses Google Checkout. Now it’s totally free through 2007!
That’s a full year! They use to say that you could get free processing before, but that was based on how much you spent on AdWords. If you spent $1 in AdWords you could get $10 in free processing. Pretty good deal anyway for those of you that advertise through AdWords. Now that it is free, the deal is even better.

Google Checkout’s promotion rocks! But if you take it away, then I don’t see how Checkout is significantly better than PayPal. In some cases it is worse. For example, merchant registration requires a social security number / tax id. Buyers MUST create a Google account in order to purchase. Requiring stuff like that upfront makes me really turns me off.
But, overall, it’s a steal.
By the way, great blog Kevin! I’m glad things are going well for you!
