Using Google with Your Mobile Phone
Here’s a great resource for all of you that browser the Internet on your phone. I learned about it on the Google Blog from T.V. Raman.
If you point your phone browser to http://www.google.com/m you will be given a slimmed down version of Google.com that was made especially for mobile phones. What it then does is act as a transcoder. It will take whatever search results you request and serve them up to your phone in a format that is easier for your phone to handle. This means that instead of waiting for your phone to process everything and show what it can, Google can do the transcoding on its end. This makes the whole process much quicker for browsing on your phone.
