Monitor 110
Monday, October 23rd, 2006I have used Google Alerts for a while as my own ad-clipping agency. I’ll set up an alert for things that I am interested in and, when those keywords come up, a link for it is emailed to me. Just be careful. If you create an alert for a common keyword you are likely to get flooded with alerts.
Now Monitor 110 offers a similar service for stock traders. The ideas to to crawl data that is being produced on the local level so that you know about it before it is common knowledge. (I was about to say “public” knowledge, but I guess the real questions is not if it is public but how public.) This service seems to also have much more advanced sorting features than a normal alert service.
I guess that this is another step in the direction of a perfectly efficient market.
