YouTube Secret - Leverage Others’ Videos

Showing videos on YouTube has been a great marketing opportunity lately. I haven’t experimented with it much but I noticed something after being referred to the Dove video for the Campaign for Real Beauty. If you look at the comments, there are 253+ comments that are mostly text. There is only one video comment, though.

I think that we can assume that the views that this comment video have received are mainly due to its association with the Campaign for Real Beauty film. The Dove film has received just over a million views and the comment video has received almost 100,000. This is a lot more than many under the Most Viewed category.

This is an opportunity that you can use with other successful YouTube videos. By leaving a video comment you are placed above the text comments and there are much fewer of them as well. Do this with a popular video and, like in the case of this comment video, you could get a tenth of the traffic that the target video does.
